It’s nighttime and you want to be one of those people that has something to do. You may even want to be one of those people that has an actual—dare we say it—nightlife! Dancing, a few drinks, maybe a good live band to watch, you know, the works! There is just one problem: you don’t know of any good nightlife in Groton, Connecticut. Not to worry, there is a strong nightlife pulse to be found in this not-so-sleepy city.
The first stop on our nighttime fun tour would have to be at “The Spot.” Open late, this restaurant and bar features seven big screen televisions, beer on tap, and even wine for the sophisticated guests among us. Every Thursday night is ladies’ night, with a 4-10 PM happy hour. Now you ladies know where to get a good deal, and you gentlemen know where to find the ladies!
Your next stop on “your night out” should be at the Kream Martini Bar and Lounge. They feature over forty uniquely flavored martinis, such as a flaming Lamborghini and Tiramisu. Sweet drinks not really your thing? They also have a nice selection of German imported beers. Six nights a week there is music to be enjoyed, played by either a live DJ or a live band. If karaoke is more your thing, make sure to swing by on Monday nights.
Another nightspot to check out in Groton, CT would be Christopher’s Café. Every Friday and Saturday, they have a live band and a free taco bar! Wednesday is ladies’ night, which features two-dollar drink specials. Christopher’s is also a good spot to hit last on your night trip, since they have an extensive menu with everything from wings to full slabs of ribs to recharge you.
Armed with this new information, you are now ready to get out there and become another creature of the night. Be prepared though…after a few martinis, you might find that dawn seems to arrive before you know it.
